Longpoint has partnered with the International Martial Arts Festival (IMAF) to host what we hope to be an annual event at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, October 13-16, 2016. This event will feature coverage on ESPN 3, including internationally televised Open Steel Longsword finals for first and second place.  

Longpoint South with feature an Open Steel Longsword Competition using Longpoint Rules and a Longsword Cutting Competition.

Registration for is $85 for one event and $100 for both events (plus an additional $25 tatami fee onsite or online prior to the event will be collected for the cutting competition).  Lodging will be at the Disney Pop Century Resort, and rooms will cost $105/night for a four-person room.  IMAF has special pricing for Disney tickets, and we have scheduled a special HEMA fun day at the Disney Parks on Sunday (details to follow). Please note that all registration is handled through the IMAF, as Longpoint South is just a single part of a much larger international martial arts tournament and festival. Participants may also sign up for other open tournaments outside of Longpoint South at the rates listed on the IMAF website.
